Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a short-term acute care facility in Oregon. Requires 1 year of recent acute care CT experience and prior travel assignment experience. Must have ARRT CT and BLS certifications, Oregon OBMI preferred, and compact license in hand at submission.

Epic EMR experience and proficiency in advanced CT techniques are required. This night-shift role involves 3x12s, Fri–Sun weekends, and a 1:1 patient ratio in a Level III trauma setting with GE/PACS

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care CT experience
• Recent travel assignment experience required
• ARRT CT and BLS certifications required
• Oregon OBMI certification preferred
• License must be in hand if applicable; compact license required at submission
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis CT with/without contrast; head/neck/spine/MSK CT
• Experience with chest CT including cardiac/vascular imaging
• Experience with procedures: aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, vascular CTA
• Ability to prepare and administer contrast media; PPE and radiation safety
• Proficient in IV starts and venipuncture
• Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year in last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Short term acute care hospital setting with 418 staffed beds
• Level III trauma facility at minimum
• Night shift, 3×12 hours, 19:00–07:00
• Weekend coverage required (Fri–Sun)
• 1:1 patient ratio; Epic charting system used
• Limited floating between units; may travel to sister facilities
• GE and PACS imaging equipment used
• Work in Level I/II trauma center settings, adult acute care, outpatient, ICU
• Scrubs colors negotiable; some departments provide scrubs
• No parking fees; potential return assignments after 3 months within 50 miles
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront; no post-offer changes
• Must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays

• Recent travel assignment experience required
• ARRT CT and BLS certifications required
• Oregon State OBMI certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
• Experience with abdomen and pelvis CT with and without contrast
• Experience with head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT imaging
• Experience with chest CT including cardiac and vascular imaging
• Experience with special procedures including aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and vascular CTA preferred
• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration
• Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• 1:1 patient ratio

• GE and PACS imaging equipment used
• Works within Level I and Level II Trauma Center settings as well as adult acute care, outpatient, and ICU areas
• Scrubs may be worn in any color; some departments provide scrubs or require business appropriate attire
• No parking fees at this facility
• Candidates may be considered for return assignments after 3 months if not within 50 miles of the facility as a former permanent staff member
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50 mile radius
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
