Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT certification.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT CT and ARRT R certification required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission - license required if applicable
• Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Competency across all age groups from neonate to older adult
• First-time travelers considered

Responsibilities

• Short term acute care hospital setting with 109 staff beds
• Adult acute care and adult outpatient work settings
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Block schedule required with day shifts (5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-2:00 PM) or night shifts (5x8 hours, 4:30 PM-10:30 PM)
• Weekend coverage required Saturday and Sunday 2:00 PM-10:30 PM
• On-call required 2-4 nights per month
• Specific schedule includes Thursday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM and Saturday-Monday 2:00 PM-10:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• No floating between units required within the facility
• Equipment includes GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba scanners with PACS
• Performs abdomen, pelvis, chest, head and neck, and spine/musculoskeletal CT studies with and without contrast
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Perform CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal exams with and without contrast
• May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
• Scrubs of any color accepted; provided for OR, Critical Care, ED, and Maternal Child units
• No parking fees
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period but must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities as permanent staff, travelers, or per-diem
