Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a hospital-based CT department in Wisconsin. The role requires 2-3 years of CT experience and ARRT-CT certification, with EPIC experience and a state license if applicable.

The department operates 5 scanners and serves inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients, including occasional pediatric cases. Shift is 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, with weekend 3rd shift rotation and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years CT experience in a hospital setting.
• ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• EPIC experience required.
• License required if applicable.
• Must provide partial SSN/DOB upon request and references.

Responsibilities

• Hospital CT department with 5 scanners.
• Inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient population including occasional pediatric cases.
• Patient ratio of 1:1.
• Studies include general anatomy, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alert, CTA perfusion, chest, abdomen, pelvis and head.
• Procedural support for biopsies and drains.
• Uses GE equipment (GE Revolution and Evo preferred).
• Charting system is EPIC.
• 12-hour night shift, 36 hours per week.
• 3rd shift weekends: Friday/Saturday 1930-0800 and Sunday 1900-0730.
• Every weekend rotation required; no floating or on-call.
• Supported by other CT techs, Radiology RNs, RRT, Code Blue team, and centralized transport staff.
• Orientation consists of 3 shifts to learn unit flow.
• Holiday expectations include 1 summer and 1 winter holiday.
• Fatigue policy limits staff to no more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts.
• Scrubs of any color accepted except camo or denim. Free parking available.
• First-time travelers will be considered. Local candidates accepted at same pay rate with no radius restrictions.
• Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before travel eligibility.
