Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT-R/ARRT-CT certification for a 13-week day shift assignment.

The role requires BLS certification, MD license (where applicable), and experience with contrast agents. Preference for epic charting, teaching hospital background, and trauma center exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CT Tech experience required.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• MD state license required if applicable.
• Epic charting system experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Skilled in preparation and/or administration of contrast media.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required.
• Enterography study experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• 3x12 or 4x12 day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as scheduled
• On-call not required
• May float within specialty as needed
• Uses Philips 7500, Philips Brilliance 64, and Siemens Force CT equipment
• Performs abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies with and without contrast
• Performs vascular CTA and 3D rendering/post-processing including MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering, and MPR
• Works in adult acute care, emergency department, and ICU settings
• Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Travelers are expected to float within scope with no restrictions
• Max 7 days RTO can be requested; more than 4 consecutive days requires an additional week added to the back end of new contracts
• One major holiday off may be allowed during the winter season
• Locals under 50 miles from the facility are not accepted unless otherwise specified
• Return travelers must be away from the system for at least 6 months before returning
• Former staff must be gone for 12 months before returning as a traveler
