Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT advanced CT registry for a 13-week night shift contract in Charlotte, NC. The role requires EPIC EMR experience, the ability to start IVs, and proficiency in venous/arterial phase imaging.

The facility is a 373-bed acute care center with a stroke accreditation and multi-modality imaging services. On-call 2–3 shifts per month; travel and scheduling details provided during onboarding.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced CT registry.
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years CT experience
• License required if applicable
• Ability to start peripheral IVs
• Experience with venous/arterial phase and multi-phase CT imaging
• Stroke imaging including perfusion experience
• Colorectal studies experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB for consideration
• Minimum 1 reference within 1 year from supervisor/manager/director

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging with 3 CT scanners and advanced techniques as required.
• CT guided invasive procedures with anesthesia as needed
• Cardiac CT imaging on day shift, 7 days a week
• On-call 2-3 shifts per month; no weekend rotation
• Utilize EPIC EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS
• Travelers will cover 75% of holidays
• Provide patient care for ED, Inpatient, Observation and Outpatient cases

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to start peripheral IVs
• Experience with venous and arterial phase scanning, multi-phase scanning required
• Experience with stroke imaging including perfusion required
• Experience with colorectal studies required
• TeraRecon knowledge preferred but not required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within one year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Responsibilities

• 373-bed acute care facility with 344 acute and 29 inpatient rehab beds, offering X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine services
• TJC Stroke accredited facility with no trauma designation
• 10hr night shift, Monday-Thursday 2100-0730
• Average inpatient census around 400 with 160 weekday studies and 120 weekend studies
• Patient population includes ED, Inpatient, Observation, and Outpatient cases
• Performs CT guided invasive procedures and cases with Anesthesia as needed
• Cardiac CT imaging performed on day shift, 7 days/week
• No weekend rotation required
• On-call required, 2-3 shifts per month
• No floating required
• Uses EPIC EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS
• Equipment includes 3 CT scanners (Siemens Definition AS 40, Siemens Force, Siemens Edge+) and Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Guest Services/Transport support available for Inpatient and Observation patients
• Facility and unit orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding plus 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO requires Resource Team approval
• Black scrub color required
• Free parking available in surface lot and parking decks
• Radius rule: must live 50+ miles from facility to be eligible for travel assignment, locals not accepted
• Returning employees must be separated from any facility within the health system for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
