Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a hospital radiology department. ARRT in Radiography is required, CT experience preferred, and BLS is mandatory. State licensure may be required where applicable, and travel flexibility is a plus.

The position involves 40 hours weekly across 5 eight-hour shifts, with evening hours and every fourth weekend. Epic charting will be part of daily workflow, and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• ARRT certified in Radiography (CT preferred) and 1 year CT experience.
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• State licensure required if applicable.
• BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based diagnostic radiology department.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images meeting departmental standards for physician interpretation.
• Maintain competency across a variety of imaging equipment and technologies.
• Follow proper safety guidelines for self, staff, and patients.
• Foster teamwork through effective communication and collaboration.
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM with every 4th weekend required; call one night per week and during the weekend.

Requirements

• ARRT certified in Radiography required, ARRT (CT) preferred
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• State licensure required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience in CT required
• Ability to start IVs if needed
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based diagnostic radiology department
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM with every 4th weekend required
• Call required one night per week and during the scheduled weekend
• 40 hours per week across 5 eight-hour shifts
• Uses Epic for charting
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images meeting departmental standards for physician interpretation
• Maintain competency across a variety of imaging equipment and technologies
• Follow proper safety guidelines for self, staff, and patients
• Foster teamwork through effective communication and collaboration
• Maintain flexibility to work various locations, shift times, and shift lengths
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census
• Assignments are limited to one calendar year from the initial start date, with a required break before returning to a new assignment
