Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for night shifts in an acute care setting in Columbia, SC. Role requires ARRT CT, ARRT(R) and BLS, with 1 year CT experience. You will perform CT imaging across multiple body regions, manage 1:1 patient care, and utilize Epic/Sectra PACS in a travel assignment.

The position supports travel healthcare professionals, with housing and licensure reimbursements often available; hurricane season duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year CT experience.
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required.
• SCRQSA (R) and SCRQSA (CT) certifications required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration.
• Familiarity with Epic charting.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting supporting adults.
• CT and X-ray multimodality tech.
• Performs CT imaging across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/MSK, chest and vascular studies (CTA, aorta, PE).
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, Sat–Mon.
• No on-call.
• No floating between units.
• Uses Epic charting and Sectra PACS.
• First-time travelers welcome.
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered with reduced rate.
• Submit time-off requests with application.
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks.
• Scrub colors: black and/or teal.
• Free parking provided.
• Emergency response duties during hurricane season.
• Pre-start modules ~4 hours.

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift acute care position requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience required
• BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), SCRQSA (R), SCRQSA (CT) certifications required
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
• Peripheral IV starting skills preferred
• Experience with image post-processing including multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region of interest (ROI) measurement
• Familiarity with Siemens equipment preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Radiation badge required, to be provided by the agency
• License required if applicable
• Full SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting supporting adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department patients
• CT and X-ray multimodality tech role
• Performs CT imaging including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, chest, and vascular studies (CTA, aorta, pulmonary embolism)
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• 3x12 hour night shifts, Saturday-Monday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No on-call requirement
• No floating required between units or sister facilities
• Uses Epic for charting and Sectra for PACS
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Previous MUSC staff (including PRN) must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local and may be accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for approval based on facility needs
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Scrub colors required are black and/or teal
• Free parking provided with a pass issued at start date
• Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September)
• Pre-start modules average 4 hours and must be completed prior to starting the assignment
