Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 1+ year of experience and ARRT-CT certification for a 13-week evening assignment in an acute care hospital. The role supports Adult Acute Care, ED, and ICU patients, performing abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine and chest CTs, including vascular CT studies (CTA/PE/aorta) using Siemens and Toshiba/Canon systems.

The position runs 3x12 hour evenings Fri-Sun (2:00 PM–2:30 AM), with no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience.
• ARRT-CT and BLS certifications required.
• Toshiba/Canon CT equipment experience required.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Image display and post-processing skills, including 3D rendering and MPR.
• Contrast media prep/administration, radiation safety.
• Peripheral IV starts and venipuncture preferred.
• Active Oregon state license or proof of application; license if applicable.
• One professional reference from Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager preferred.
• No felony convictions.

Responsibilities

• CT Tech unit within an acute care hospital setting.
• Supports Adult Acute Care, Emergency Department, and ICU patients.
• Performs abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and chest CT imaging.
• Vascular imaging includes CTA, pulmonary embolism, and aortic studies.
• Uses Siemens and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment along with PACS.
• 3x12 hour evening shifts, Friday-Sunday from 2:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
• No on-call requirements.
• Must be willing to float within site and across the health system as required.
• Must complete any assigned education within one week of starting the assignment.
• Subject to mandatory low census cancellation policy, limited to one shift per two-week pay period without penalty.
• Must cancel at least 1.5 hours before shift start in the event of low census.
• Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least one year before returning as a traveler.
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment.
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application.
• Local candidates are not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from any facility within the system.
• First-time travelers are not specified for consideration.
