American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Multimodality CT/X-Ray Technologist for a night shift in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital’s emergency department. Candidates must have 2+ years of experience and dual ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, plus BLS/ACLS and SCRQSA credentials.

Travel experience and experience with contrast media are required, with responsibilities spanning CT and X-ray in a high-acuity setting. Magnet-designated teaching hospital environment and 3x12 night shift.

Competenze

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and CT required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (ACLS within 2–3 weeks of hire).
• SCRQSA certification required.
• Epic EMR experience required.

American Traveler is hiring a Multimodality CT/X-Ray Technologist for a night shift role in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital's emergency department, requiring 2+ years of experience and dual ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• ARRT certification in both Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (ACLS may be pending, must obtain within 2-3 weeks of hire)
• SC Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required if applicable
• Community hospital experience required
• Experience in Emergency, Trauma, Pediatric, and Orthopedic imaging across both modalities highly preferred
• Experience with peripheral IV starts and venipuncture required
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration required
• Must be able to work in a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital environment
• Previous travel experience required

Responsibilities

• Multimodality technologist role covering both CT and X-Ray in an Emergency and Urgent Care setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Possible float to like units within scope
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Performs abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, chest, and cardiac/vascular CT imaging
• Utilizes 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement for image post-processing
• Uses Siemens CT equipment and PACS
• Provides quality imaging and patient care within both X-ray and CT modalities
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures understanding prior to imaging
• Produces diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
• Works within a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level 1 Trauma facility with 865 staffed beds
• Follows isolation precautions and radiation safety protocols
• Scrub color required: teal blue top with black bottoms
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
• Previous MUSC staff (including PRN) must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for manager approval
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies; local candidates considered case-by-case at a reduced rate
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November)
• Agency must provide radiation badges, as the facility does not issue them to travelers
• One-time $20 parking pass fee applies for nights and weekends
