Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a CT Technologist for an evening shift in Connecticut. You will perform CT studies across multiple body regions and work in a Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center setting.

Requirements include ARRT-CT certification, BLS, and Epic EMR experience, plus 2 years CT experience or 1.5 years for Level I trauma/travel. Travel experience and prior hospital experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT-CT certification required; ARRT-R preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• 2 years of experience in CT; 1.5 years may be considered for Level I trauma or travel.
• Previous travel experience required.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Skilled in contrast media preparation, IV starts, and venipuncture.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety.
• 1 professional reference required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• CT studies including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine/MSS, and CTA.
• Patient ratio of 1:2 in acute care and outpatient settings.
• Evening shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.
• Rotating every other weekend with a day off each week.
• Uses Siemens CT equipment for imaging.
• Epic EMR required for reporting and charting.
• Work within a Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center.
• Royal blue scrubs required in shifts.

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an evening shift role requiring ARRT-CT certification and Epic experience.

• 2 years of experience required in specialty, though 1.5 years may be considered for Level I trauma or travel experience
• Previous travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required

• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Adult acute care and outpatient settings including Emergency Department and ICU
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Rotating every other weekend with a day off each week to fulfill weekend requirements
• Performs CT studies including abdomen/pelvis, enterography, IVP, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, chest, and vascular CTA
• Specialized procedures include carotid studies, trauma head imaging, cardiac calcium scoring/coronary angiography, and pulmonary/aortic CTA
• Uses Siemens CT equipment
• Utilizes multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region of interest (ROI) measurement for image processing
• Epic EMR required
• Works within a Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center setting
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine/booster required with exemptions only for religious or medical reasons
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Former staff must be separated from employment for at least 2 years before returning as a travel employee
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
