Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for night shifts to perform combined CT and X-ray exams. The role targets 1+ year of CT experience with Level II trauma background in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include overnight imaging, supporting diverse patient ages, and potential cross-facility coverage. OSHA-compliant practices apply; scrubs and Epic charting are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT Tech experience required.
• ARRT(CT) and ARRT(R) certification required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Level II Trauma Center experience required.
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/MSK, and chest CT studies.

Responsibilities

• Performs combined CT and X-ray imaging overnight.
• Supports adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations.
• Trauma and stroke patient experience required.
• 4x10 night shift schedule, 8:00 PM-6:30 AM Wed–Fri and 6:00 PM-6:30 AM Sat.
• Weekend shifts required; call shared among staff.
• May float between service lines and sister facilities.
• Uses GE and Siemens imaging equipment.
• Charts in Epic.
• First-time travelers considered if experience requirements are met.
• Gray scrubs required.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT Tech experience required
• ARRT(CT) and ARRT(R) certification required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• License required if applicable
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/MSK, and chest CT studies
• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration
• Proficient in peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE

Responsibilities

• Performs combined CT and X-ray imaging overnight
• Supports adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations
• Trauma and stroke patient experience required
• 4x10 night shift schedule, 8:00 PM-6:30 AM Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and 6:00 PM-6:30 AM Saturday
• Weekend shifts required
• Call required, shared among staff
• May float between service lines and to sister facilities per unit needs
• Uses GE and Siemens imaging equipment
• Charts in Epic
• First-time travelers considered if experience requirements are met
• Gray scrubs required
• Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
• Local candidates accepted at reduced rate if residing within 75 miles of the facility
