Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care Level 3 trauma facility, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification. The role supports ER and inpatient populations with 12-week assignment and 40 hours weekly.

Experience with MEDITECH EMR and Fuji PACS is preferred. Texas MRT license is required, and IV starts are expected. On-call and weekend rotations apply, with 30-minute response time for on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a Level 3 trauma center CT department.
• 12-week assignment with 40 guaranteed hours per week.
• Shift schedule includes Wed/Thu 12:00–00:00 and every other Fri/Sat/Sun with possible call.
• On-call shifts require a 30-minute response time.
• First to float between Bryan and College Station campuses (16 minutes apart) as needed.
• 3 CT scanners available (1 in ER, 2 in Main) using 16-slice and 64-slice GE scanners.
• Performs CT scans with and without contrast, averaging 16–24 scans per day.
• Works with ER and inpatient populations.
• Uses MEDITECH EMR and Fuji PACS system.
• Weekend coverage every other weekend; occasional holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a Level 3 trauma center, CT department
• 12-week assignment with 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Shift schedule includes Wed/Thurs 1200-0000 and every other Fri/Sat/Sun, plus possible call
• On-call shifts require a 30-minute response time
• First to float between Bryan and College Station campuses (16 minutes apart) as needed
• 3 CT scanners available (1 in ER, 2 in Main), using 1 16-slice and 2 64-slice GE scanners
• Performs CT scans with and without contrast, averaging 16-24 scans per day
• Works with ER and inpatient patient populations
• Uses MEDITECH EMR and Fuji PACS system
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Occasional holiday rotation with permanent staff
• Call rotation occurs every 6th week with varying shift times depending on rotation schedule
• Radiologist in house during the day; available virtually at night with ER physician support for emergencies
• Unit provides rad dosimetry badge
• May be asked to precept as needed by the unit
• Department-specific orientation provided (12 hours)
• Black scrubs required; not provided by facility
• Call outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to termination
• Candidates must not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year; PRN employment through outside staffing firms will be considered
