Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Charleston, SC. Requires ARRT (R)(CT) certification, current BLS, SC license if applicable, and Level I Trauma CT experience.

Will perform CT imaging across adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and ED settings with Epic charting; travel-friendly schedule and rotation. Expect 4x10 hour shifts Tuesday–Friday, 10:00 AM–8:30 PM, with holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification required.
• SC license required if applicable.
• 1 year CT experience preferred; 6 months Level I Trauma required.
• Level I Trauma experience required.
• Epic charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• 4x10 hour day shifts, Tue–Fri, 10:00–20:30.
• No on-call requirement; may float to sister facilities.
• Use Epic charting system; PACS with Sectra preferred.
• Perform CT imaging across adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and ED.
• Equipment includes Siemens; experience with 3D rendering, MPR, ROI measurement beneficial.
• Trauma travel assignment; facility does not provide radiation badge; travel agency supplies badge.
• Scrub color: teal top, black bottom; attend all staff meetings.

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and Level I trauma CT experience.

Requirements

• Current BLS and ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
• SC state license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience preferred; minimum 6 months Level I Trauma experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in PIV insertion and contrast media administration
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal CT studies
• Proficient in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
• Experience with special procedures such as CTA, brain perfusion, and biopsies preferred
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
• First-time travelers accepted if they have relevant previous experience

• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies for standard travel rate eligibility
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for facility approval
• During hurricane season (June–November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
