American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level IV Trauma Center in Wisconsin. The role requires ARRT CT certification, BLS, and a minimum of 2 years of acute care CT experience. First-time travelers need 10+ years CT experience. Expect evening shifts, no on-call, and a 40-hour week.

Candidates should have experience with stroke workups, brain CTAs, and CT perfusions; Canon/Toshiba scanners are preferred, Epic EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• First-time travelers considered only with 10+ years of CT experience
• Comfortable working independently with stroke and brain CTA cases
• Canon and Toshiba scanner experience is highly preferred
• Experience with IV starts, CT perfusions, and biopsies/special procedures is preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Responsabilités

• CT unit at a 60-bed Level IV Trauma Center and Stroke Ready facility
• Operate CT scanners and manage back-to-back control room setup
• Approximately 20 scans per shift per tech
• Treat outpatient, ED, and inpatient cases including Level II Trauma scans
• Perform stroke workups, brain CTAs, CT perfusions, and body scans
• Equipment includes Canon 80/40 slice scanners; PACS is McKesson; Pyxis dispensing
• Evening shifts 3:30pm–11:30pm, Monday–Thursday; 40 hours/week
• No on-call or floating requirements; 24/7 RT/MRI/X-ray coverage available
• Orientation includes NEO and unit-specific training; weekend rotations per schedule
• Travel assignments require compliance with facility policies and attire

Responsibilities

• 60-bed Level IV Trauma Center and Stroke Ready facility
• CT unit with 2 CT scanners sharing a back-to-back control room
• Approximately 20 scans per shift per tech
• Patient population includes outpatient, ED, and inpatient cases, including Level II Trauma scans, ranging from toddlers to adults with rare infant cases
• Common procedures include stroke workups, brain CTAs, CT perfusions, and scans of the abdomen, extremities, spine, neck, and head
• Equipment includes Canon scanners (80 slice & 40 slice)
• EMR is Epic (preferred), PACS is McKesson, and med dispensing uses Pyxis
• 8-hour evening shifts, 3:30pm-11:30pm, Monday-Thursday
• 40 standard hours per week on a set schedule
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Support team includes 2 CT Techs during days and 1 after 6:30pm, an Imaging Patient Assistant, Radiology Nurse until 4pm, in-house Phlebotomy, House Supervisor for after-hours IV support, and a Lead CT Technologist on-site during day shift
• RT, MRI, and X-ray coverage available 24/7
• Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) and 3 days of unit-specific orientation
• Weekend rotation applies per posted schedule
• Will work holidays if they fall on a scheduled day
• RTO requests go through the unit manager for approval
• Scrubs must be any solid, professional color with no graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking available on-site
• Unit culture described as fun and close-knit
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
