Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center. Must have ARRT-CT certification and at least 1 year of recent hospital CT experience. Licensure requirements apply for MT RT and BLS certification is required.

Night shift: 4x10 hour nights, CT and X-ray duties split among three techs. Travel housing allowance and licensure reimbursements offered. Local candidates are not accepted; travel required within 75+ miles of facility.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center, requiring ARRT-CT certification and at least 1 year of recent hospital CT experience.

Requirements

• Must have hospital CT experience within the past 12 months
• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
• ARRT, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications required
• MT RT license required upon start (license required if applicable)
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I, teaching hospital, and community hospital experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Skills required include abdomen and pelvis imaging with and without contrast
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration preferred
• PACS and Siemens equipment experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Level 1 Trauma Hospital and Comprehensive Stroke Center with 24/7 CT coverage
• Averages 120 patients per 24-hour period across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department cases
• Night shift techs cover both CT and diagnostic X-Ray duties, divided among 3 techs per shift
• Equipment includes 3 Siemens Somatom Edge and Force CT scanners with MedRad injectors
• 4x10 hour night shifts from 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Venipuncture skills preferred but not required for all shifts
• No floating to affiliate hospitals unless otherwise agreed upon during interview or offer
• Perform a variety of CT procedures including head, neck, spine, chest, and vascular imaging
• Support trauma, emergency, and acute care cases in a high-volume hospital setting
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside 75+ miles from the facility
• References required for consideration
• Background checks with license or background hits reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before returning
