Job summary

Morris Group, Inc. in Valparaiso, IN is seeking an adventurous Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machinery at customer sites.

You will travel regionally in a company vehicle, perform preventive maintenance, and deliver hands-on technical support and training on Haas equipment as part of onboarding. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to read drawings, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in mechanical/electrical repair or engineering desired.
• CNC Repair background a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics is required.
• Software experience, like Microsoft Office, is a plus.
• Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills are a must.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements and lift up to 40-50 lbs.
• Flexible hours and frequent regional travel; dispatched from home daily.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, fix, repair and maintain machine tool equipment.
• Use online documents, manuals and vendor resources to research machine issues.
• Submit accurate documentation on status of machine issues and repairs.
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance and provide after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines.
• Training in CNC repair and Haas equipment as part of onboarding with factory certification within the first year.
