Job summary

Morris Group, Inc., a leading machine tool distributor in North America, seeks a Field Service Technician for HFO Chicago. This role requires travel to customer facilities and includes a company provided vehicle and gas coverage.

Responsibilities include installing, repairing, and maintaining Haas CNC equipment, researching issues using manuals and vendor resources, and documenting status with customers. Factory certification within the first year is expected.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in mechanical/electrical repair or engineering desired.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics is required.
• Software experience, like Microsoft Office, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, fix, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls for customers. (Company provided vehicle & gas paid)
• Use online documents, manuals and vendor resources to research machine issues.
• Ensure accurate documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer.
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and provide after-sales support and training.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines.
• Training in CNC repair and Haas equipment with factory certification within the first year.
