Job summary

Fives HPM | Aftermarket Americas is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and support advanced CNC machine tools across the United States. This travel-heavy role suits technicians who work well independently and directly support customers at their facilities.

Candidates should be located within a four-hour drive of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, or near a major airport for easy access to client sites.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent.
• Two to four years of related experience and/or training.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain passport for business travel.
• Ability to read and understand international print symbols.

Responsibilities

• Install, demonstrate, repair, and modify Fives machines and equipment at customer facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and CNC systems.
• Follow verbal and written technical instructions and interpret drawings, service documentation, and other equipment documentation.
• Operate machines and equipment at customer facilities to demonstrate or qualify equipment.
• Observe customer qualification runs and verify machine accuracy and quality.
• Notify Technical Support or the Service Coordinator when deviations from specifications occur or technical problems are encountered.
• Prepare complete and accurate service reports in accordance with established procedures.
• Train customer personnel on the proper operation and safety precautions.
• Notify customers of unsafe operating practices observed while performing field service activities.
• Provide feedback and recommendations that support product improvement.
