Job summary

Fives HPM in the United States is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machine tools at customer sites across the country. This is a highly travel-focused role requiring independent problem-solving and direct customer support at facilities nationwide.

The position emphasizes hands-on work across mechanical, electrical, and CNC systems, with extensive travel, a home office near Fond du Lac, WI, and onboarding at the Fond du Lac location.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and CNC capabilities for installing, troubleshooting, and qualifying industrial equipment.
• Associate degree or equivalent; 2–4 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license; ability to obtain passport for travel.
• Ability to read international print symbols and to use hand tools.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, demonstrate, repair, and modify Fives machines at customer facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and CNC systems.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and interpret drawings, service documentation, and other equipment documents.
• Operate machines at customer sites to demonstrate performance and verify specifications.
• Train customer personnel on proper operation, maintenance, and safety.
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain regular attendance and work overtime as required by business needs.
• Ensure ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance and safety practices.
