Job summary

Nbutexas seeks a Jr. Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot CNC machines in OEM environments. This is a field role with up to 75% travel in the tri-state area and opportunities for additional domestic trips.

Responsibilities include installation, repair, and replacement of machine components, plus remote troubleshooting and customer interactions. Requires strong electrical/mechanical skills and a valid driver's license and passport.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• 1-3 years of experience in CNC machinery/equipment/tooling.
• 1-2 years of Swiss machining experience (preferred).
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and automation experience; able to troubleshoot.
• Proficiency with reading ladder diagrams and control diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines.
• Replace components such as ball screws, motors, and cartridge spindles.
• Utilize ladder logic and diagnostic functions across control systems.
• Provide phone-based technical support for troubleshooting.
• Align and adjust tooling.
• Repair spindle bearings.
• Align and interface bar feed units.
• Perform first-part runoffs to ensure machine acceptance and functionality.
• Travel to customer sites for equipment repair, installation, and troubleshooting.
