Job summary

Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. The role includes daily living assistance, vital signs, and adherence to care plans under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required and provided by facility.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and daily activities.
• Follow care plans and infection prevention policies; use PPE.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and documentation of resident care and vital signs.

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

High school diploma or GED

CNA within four months of date into the position
