Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting at the GSS SD Desmet Center in De Smet, SD. You will support daily living activities, monitor residents, and assist with meals and mobility under RN supervision.

The role includes infection control practices, documentation of care, and participation in wellness programs. CNA certification and the ability to work evenings are required or pursued within four months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16 or older at start date.
• CNA certification required within four months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion activities.
• Record vital signs and document care; communicate changes to RN.
