Job summary

Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support mobility and routines in a long-term care setting.

The role requires CNA certification (or enrollment) and a minimum age of 16, with beneficial previous long-term care experience. Evening shifts are available, and benefits are provided to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• GED preferred but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in process within four months.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, and meals as per care plan.
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion exercises; provide psychosocial support.
