Job summary

Good Samaritan is hiring a Nursing Assistant in De Smet, SD to provide compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. Under RN supervision, you will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and support psychosocial well-being.

The role requires CNA certification with the state or progress toward certification within four months, a minimum age of 16, and a willingness to complete 12 hours of annual continuing education.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board or in process within four months of start date.
• Annual continuing education requirement of at least 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, meals, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and document care accurately in resident records.
• Support infection prevention and PPE policies and participate in wellness activities.
