Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse. Tasks include bathing, mobility support, vital signs, and documenting care provided to assigned residents.

Minimum requirements are a CNA certification or active enrollment, 18+ years old, and 3 months LTC experience (6 months preferred).

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or enrolled in a CNA training program.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assists with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, mobility, and daily activities; records vital signs as needed.
• Documents resident interactions and care delivered; communicates changes to the charge nurse; follows infection control policies.
