Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting as scheduled. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and support the care team under the supervision of an RN.

This role requires CNA certification (or enrollment within four months) and prior long-term care experience is preferred. Minimum age 18, with travel across multiple locations within a 75-mile radius of the permanent address.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.

Responsibilities

• Care for residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care.
• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, aiding mobility, vital signs, and documentation.
• Support infection control policies and PPE use; assist with meals and dining experiences.
• Assist and document wellness activities and participate in programs as needed.
