Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan provides resident‑centered care in a long‑term care setting under RN supervision. Tasks include assisting with daily living activities, recording vital signs, aiding with meals, and supporting infection prevention and PPE use.

The role requires CNA certification or in process, is 18+, and experience in long‑term care is preferred. Travel may be required within 75 miles.

Qualifications

• 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).
• Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care and provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN.
• Assists with daily living activities, vital signs, range of motion, and documentation of resident interactions.
• Provides meals assistance, infection control, PPE use, and supports wellness and recreational programs.
