Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance in long-term care settings under RN supervision. You will help with bathing, mobility, vital signs, and basic health care needs while following infection prevention and control policies.

This role supports dining, documentation, and collaboration with the nursing team to ensure resident comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with State Board of Nursing, or in process of obtaining certification within four months.
• Colorado: QMAP certification may be required depending on facility.
• Annual continuing education: minimum 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transferring, ROM, and vital signs.
• Assist with meals and hydration, and create positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and care-related tasks as needed.
