American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a community hospital cardiac cath lab. The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience and Epic charting proficiency.

You will perform 25–35 invasive procedures daily, including PCI and EP studies, and work with a full team in a fast-paced environment. The position includes a 4x10 hour day schedule, on-call duties, and travel as needed to Cone Health campuses during surges.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• RCIS/RCES certification strongly preferred.
• ARRT CI, ARRT R, or ARRT VI certification preferred.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Proficiency in scrub technique and EKG lead placement.
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose).
• Experience with vascular studies including angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper/lower extremity angiography preferred.
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Experience with EP studies including cardioversion and pacemaker insertion preferred.
• Must be able to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, infection control, and sterile technique required.
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam with two attempts allowed.
• License required if applicable.

Aufgaben

• Perform diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab procedures in a community hospital setting.
• Manage adult and geriatric patient population.
• Perform 25–35 invasive cath procedures per day.
• Conduct balloon angioplasty, PCI, stent placement, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, and various catheterizations.
• Include CSI atherectomy, IABP, ACIST, OCT, IVUS as needed; radial, ulnar, femoral access.
• Treat coronary, peripheral vascular diseases and cardiac arrhythmias.
• Operate Epic CUPID and XPER Witt for hemodynamic monitoring.
• Utilize fluoroscopy and Philips equipment.
• Work 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, with on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab setting
• Community hospital setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Performs 25-35 invasive cath procedures per day
• Procedures include balloon angioplasty, PCI, stent placement, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, and rotablator atherectomy
• Additional procedures include CSI atherectomy, IABP, ACIST, OCT, IVUS, Angiojet, radial/ulnar/femoral access, EP device/ablation studies, and PV lab procedures (fistula, A/O LE runoff, pedal access)
• Diagnoses treated include coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias
• Uses Epic CUPID and XPER Witt for hemodynamic monitoring
• Uses fluoroscopy and Philips equipment
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call required as needed
• Floating required to any Cone Health campus during COVID surges or as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Responsibilities include room circulation, equipment setup, prepping access sites, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures
• Scrub and circulate for cardiac and EP lab procedures as needed
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply
• RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
