Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in a STEMI/PCI facility to support a high-volume interventional cardiac cath lab.

Responsibilities include diagnostic and interventional procedures, EP lab float opportunities, and Epic EMR documentation. The position requires current BLS/ACLS/ARRT, STEMI-ready status, and OH licensing as applicable. Travel-friendly with housing and licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a STEMI/PCI facility.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) certifications required.
• ARRT must be in hand at submission.
• IABP and Impella insertion training required.
• Experience with IV starts, EKGs, stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
• Experience with vascular studies including upper and lower extremity angiography.
• Epic charting experience required.
• STEMI-ready status required.
• ODH license required; pending OH license acceptable, MI license must be in hand.

Responsibilities

• Cath Lab with 7 procedure rooms and ~25–30 patients daily.
• Work with adult and geriatric populations in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures: left/right heart cath, PCI, stent placement, angioplasty, carotid stenting, IABP/Impella placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis.
• EP lab may be floated to when volume is low.
• Uses Epic EMR for documentation.
• 13-week contract; call includes weekday/weekend/night requirements.
• Perform EKG lead placement and assist with diagnostic/interventional cardiac cath procedures.
• Scrubs provided; travelers considered based on experience.

• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Outpatient and inpatient work settings
• Procedures include diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, stent placement, angioplasty, carotid stenting, IABP and Impella placement, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• EP experience candidates may float to EP lab as needed when Cath Lab/IR case volume is low
• Uses Epic EMR
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• Call required, including one weekday call per week, every 5th weekend, and one night per week
• During a 13-week contract, call includes two weekends (Friday 6 PM to Monday 7 AM) plus one holiday call if the assignment spans a major holiday period
• Perform EKG lead placement and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Scrubs provided
• Unit considers travelers based on experience
• First-time travelers may be considered based on experience
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
