Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for an acute care Cardiac Cath Lab in Illinois. The role requires 1+ year of recent heart and peripheral cath experience and active BLS.

You will work in a high-volume lab using Philips equipment, McKesson, and Epic EMR; 8-hour day shifts 07:00-15:30 with on-call 2-3 nights weekly, every 3rd weekend, and some holidays. Travel/licensure reimbursements provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in heart and peripheral cath
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Active IL license or initiation of licensure process if applicable

Responsibilities

• Level 2 trauma acute care Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 2 labs, 1 hybrid room, and a 6-bed recovery area
• Average of 5 cases per day
• Uses Epic EMR, Philips monitoring equipment and tables, and McKesson in the labs; 1 lab equipped with BiPlane
• 8-hour day shifts from 0700-1530
• On call 2-3 nights per week, every 3rd weekend, and 2-3 holidays per year
• Typically does not float
• Charge nurse occasionally takes a clinical assignment
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Unit-specific orientation is 32 hours (4 shifts)
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Facility is a Drug-Free Campus

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for an acute care Cardiac Cath Lab requiring 1+ years of recent heart and peripheral cath experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Recent experience with heart caths and peripheral caths required
• Experience with Philips equipment and McKesson preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Active IL license required, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated (license required if applicable)
• Must be able to produce a negative drug screen for all panels

Responsibilities

• Level 2 trauma acute care Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 2 labs, 1 hybrid room, and a 6-bed recovery area
• Average of 5 cases per day
• Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, stroke patients needing neuro-intervention, peripheral angios, line/drain placement, and loop recorders
• Uses Epic EMR, Philips monitoring equipment and tables, and McKesson in the labs; 1 lab equipped with BiPlane
• 8-hour day shifts from 0700-1530
• On call 2-3 nights per week, every 3rd weekend, and 2-3 holidays per year
• Typically does not float
