American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a cardiac catheterization lab. The role offers exposure to diagnostic/interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures in a fast-paced, travel-friendly setting.

Requirements include ARRT certification, AHA BLS/ACLS, KY license eligibility, and 75+ miles from facility. Day shifts with on-call and travel between labs are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience required.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• ARRT certification required.
• Active KY license required at submission; license if applicable.
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted.
• Experience scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases and maintaining sterile field.
• Experience with devices such as Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, and ACIST injector.

Responsibilities

• Rotates between 2 cardiac cath labs and an EP lab.
• Adult patient population with 1:1 patient ratio.
• Performs 8-10 procedures per day, including STEMI cases.
• Conducts diagnostic/interventional cardiology and device implants.
• Support radial and groin access; operate fluoroscopy and PACS.
• Adhere to 30-minute STEMI on-call response and schedule.
• Cross-train in EP ablations; travel within scope of practice.

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a cardiac catheterization lab offering exposure to both diagnostic/interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab/EP specialty required
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• ARRT certification required
• Active Compact or State (KY) license required at time of submission, no exceptions; license required if applicable
• Candidates willing to apply for KY licensure upon offer will be considered but must apply the day they accept
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted (medical/religious exemptions reviewed case by case)
• Skilled in scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases, table panning, and maintaining sterile field
• Experience assisting with devices such as Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, and ACIST injector
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Proficient in EKG lead placement, hemodynamic monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Must be able to work with fluoroscopy equipment (Philips, Siemens) and PACS system

Responsibilities

• Rotates between 2 cardiac cath labs and an EP lab
• Adult patient population with 1:1 patient ratio
• Handles 8-10 procedures per day, including 6-8 STEMI cases per month
• Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases including device implants (pacemakers, ICDs), peripheral diagnostics/interventions, and EP ablations
• Physicians utilize both radial and groin access
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday with 1 rotating weekday off each week
• Must be able to accept an 84 hours per two-week schedule (one week 3x12, next week 4x12)
• Call requirement of 8-15 days per month plus 1 weekend every 3 weeks, with a 30-minute response time for STEMI alerts
• Call team consists of 2 RNs and 1 Rad Tech
• Float required within scope of practice
• Responsibilities include table panning, scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases, and assisting with device implants such as pacemakers and ICDs (single, dual, Bi-V)
• Cross-training in EP ablations available for candidates without prior EP experience
• Scrubs and lead apron provided
• Orientation held bi-weekly
• Must live 75+ miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered, must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted; must work either a major or minor holiday
• Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after completing one year in the system before becoming eligible to return
• First-time travelers may be considered
