Job summary

American Traveler in Danbury, CT is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of Cardiac Cath Lab/EP experience and ARRT(R) or RCIS certification.

The role requires CT radiographer license if applicable, BLS/ACLS, experienced in radial and femoral access, and readiness for 3x12 hour shifts with weekend/on-call rotation.

Candidates with RCIS through CCI and familiarity with Siemens equipment are preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) or RCIS certification required.
• State CT Radiographer license required if applicable.
• Minimum 3 years Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA).
• Experience with radial and femoral access, sheath management.
• Preferred RCIS certification through CCI.
• Preferred proficiency in structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman).
• Preferred: advanced imaging (ICE, IVUS, OCT, 3D mapping).
• Two professional references from previous managers required.

Responsibilities

• Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab setting for high-acuity cardiovascular procedures.
• Cross-trained technologist role covering EP, cath, neurointerventional, and structural labs.
• Scrub EP procedures including ablations, device implants, and lead management.
• Scrub cardiac cath procedures including PCI/atherectomy; support mechanical circulatory devices.
• Support neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures.
• 3x12 hour shifts, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM; variable start times 6:00 AM–8:00 PM.
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation participation as needed.
• Assist with high-acuity and complex cardiovascular cases.
• Uses Kronos for timekeeping.
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a reduced rate.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Siemens equipment for licensed radiologic technologists
• Preferred: RCIS certification through CCI
• Preferred: Proficiency in structural heart procedures including TAVR, MitraClip, PFO/ASD closure, and Watchman
• Preferred: Skilled in advanced cardiovascular imaging technologies including ICE, IVUS, OCT, and 3D mapping systems

• Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab setting supporting high-acuity and complex cardiovascular procedures
• Cross-trained cardiovascular technologist role covering EP, cardiac catheterization, neurointerventional, and structural heart labs
• Scrubs EP procedures including ablations, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, and leadless pacing systems (Micra, Aveir preferred)
• Scrubs cardiac catheterization procedures including diagnostic and interventional cases (PCI, atherectomy) and supports mechanical circulatory support devices (Impella, IABP, temporary pacing)
• Supports neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures including diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions
• 3x12 hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, with variable start times between 6:00 AM-8:00 PM
• Participation in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation as required by department needs
• Assist with high-acuity and complex cardiovascular procedures, including emergent and advanced interventional cases
• Uses Kronos for timekeeping
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a reduced rate
