Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath/EP Technologist with 2+ years of interventional radiology experience skilled in Cardiology and at least one of Neuro, Vascular, or IR. The role covers diagnostic and interventional work in Cath Lab and EP Lab within a health system.

You'll operate in a Hybrid OR with Siemens Artis Pheno and GE Innova IGS, on a 5x8 shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 7:30-16:30) with call based on skill set, across two locations, emphasizing patient safety and sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology/cardiac cath lab.
• BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) required.
• State license required if applicable.
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
• Skilled in Cardiology and at least one of the following: Neuro, Vascular, or IR.
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose).
• Skilled in procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, diagnostic catheterizations.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, EKG lead placement, and recognition of life‑threatening arrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab plus Electrophysiology (EP) Lab setting.
• Hybrid OR room utilizing Siemens Artis Pheno equipment, GE Innova IGS also used.
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
• Call requirement to be determined based on skill set.
• Traveler will work across two hospital locations within the same health system.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Perform procedural responsibilities including equipment set up, prep access site, scrub and maintain sterile field, and room circulator duties.
• Responsibilities include EP studies, cardioversion, pacemaker insertion, and venous access procedures such as central venous lines care and maintenance.
• Maintain strict adherence to isolation precautions, PPE, infection control, and sterile technique.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate.
• Former employees eligible for assignment after 6+ months away from the facility.
