Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of experience for a Cardiac Cath Lab environment. RCIS certification is required if applicable, or equivalent procedural experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology.

Position involves 4x10 hour day shifts with on-call duties, travel between assigned locations, and responsibilities including hemodynamic support devices, PACS/EMR usage, and radiation safety compliance.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS required.
• RCIS required if applicable, or 5+ years working in a procedural Cath Lab/IR setting.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Completion of an accredited educational program in a health science field such as cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing, or paramedic/EMT.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab, assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• 4x10 hour day shifts per week.
• On-call responsibilities requiring arrival on-site within a 30-minute response window.
• Assists with hemodynamic support devices, temporary pacemakers, and diagnostic imaging.
• Uses PACS and EMR systems for documentation and image management.
• Assist credentialed care providers with diagnostic and interventional procedures, including obtaining digital radiographic images of the heart, peripheral vessels, and other structures.
• Prepare and stock procedure rooms including sterile trays, catheters, wires, and contrast.
• Verify patient identification and collect prior medical history through patient interviews.
• Guide patients, including those who are distressed, through exams with professionalism and cultural competency.
• Perform daily quality checks and follow radiation safety protocols.
• Promote a safe, clean environment using standard precautions and infection control principles.
• Must be able to work onsite and travel reliably between assigned locations
