American Traveler is seeking a Sr. Special Procedures Technologist for the Cardiac Cath Lab in Montebello, CA. The role requires RT licensure, Fluoroscopy certification, and BLS, with a preference for ARRT certification and 3+ years of specialty experience.

Responsibilities include performing cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations, assisting physicians with interventional procedures, and mentoring staff. On-call coverage and varied shifts are included, with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct angiocardiograms and specialized procedures similar to Interventional Radiology.
• Support with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care.
• Mentor staff and assist physicians during procedures.

• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
• Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB), TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI certification required
• Minimum of three years of technical experience preferred
• Experience as a Special Procedures Technologist preferred
• ARRT certification preferred
• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology preferred
• Cerner and EPIC experience, if applicable, must be documented in employment history

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab performing cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations
• Perform active radiographic interventional procedures using complex cardiovascular imaging equipment
• Role involves angiocardiograms and specialized procedures similar to Interventional Radiology
• Variable shift options including 7am-5:30pm, 8am-6:30pm, or 9am-7:30pm
• On-call responsibilities include after-hours coverage, two weeknights per week, and every other weekend
• Position and instruct patients for cardiac catheterization and vascular procedures using specialized protocols
• Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures
• Model, mentor, and train staff on technical skills
• Provide input into hiring and promotion decisions for staff
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
