Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiac Telemetry RN with a current MN RN license for a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital. Responsibilities include comprehensive cardiac telemetry nursing care, dysrhythmia management, and coordination with the Epic/Excellian charting system.

Shifts are 3x12 hours (day 7:00-19:30) or night (19:00-07:30) with every third weekend; travel experience is required.

Qualifications

• Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac telemetry experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with cardiac drips and heparin protocols preferred
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and monitor telemetry
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration
• Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization, angiogram, MI and cardiac surgery care
• Experience with pre/post hemodialysis and renal failure care
• Experience with wound care and wound vac management
• Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in the Cardiac Telemetry unit of a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital
• Maintain patient ratios 1:3-4 Day, 1:5-6 Night; day 7:00-19:30, night 19:00-07:30
• Work every third weekend; no on-call responsibilities
• Floating within hospital or to an affiliate as needed
• Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
• Provide comprehensive cardiac telemetry nursing care and emergency response
• Must reside within 100 miles of the facility; returning travelers must be away 3 months
• First-time travelers not accepted; limit time off to ≤5 days
• Submit DOB, SSN, certifications, and Nursys verification
