Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital in Minnesota. Must have telemetry interpretation experience, an active MN RN license, and at least one prior travel assignment.

BLS certification is required, with Epics charting experience preferred. Orientation includes travel logistics and potential housing support. The role offers 3x12 shifts (days or nights), with patient ratios of 1:3–1:6 depending on shift, and

Qualifications

• Active MN RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience
• Telemetry interpretation experience required
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
• Skills in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and peripheral line management
• Experience with cardiac drip management, heparin protocols, and PCA
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, wound care/wound vac, and IV insulin protocols
• 1 supervisor reference required at time of consideration
• Must provide date of birth, SSN, and copies of certifications

Responsibilities

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Day shift (3x12, 7:00-19:30) or Night shift (3x12, 19:00-7:30) schedules available
• Patient ratios: Days 1:3-4, Nights and Weekends 1:5-6
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
• Uses Epic/Excellian charting system
• Provide telemetry-level cardiac monitoring and care for an acute care patient population
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Minimum 100-mile radius from the facility required for consideration
• RTO should not exceed 5 days
• Returning staff must be separated from any prior perm staff or per diem role for at least 3 months before starting a travel assignment
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Pending license not accepted
