American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiac Telemetry RN with a current MN RN license for a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital. Responsibilities include comprehensive cardiac telemetry nursing care, dysrhythmia management, and coordination with the Epic/Excellian charting system.

Shifts are 3x12 hours (day 7:00-19:30) or night (19:00-07:30) with every third weekend; travel experience is required.

Competenze

Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of cardiac telemetry experience
Prior travel nursing experience required
Experience with cardiac drips and heparin protocols preferred
Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and monitor telemetry
Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration
Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization, angiogram, MI and cardiac surgery care
Experience with pre/post hemodialysis and renal failure care
Experience with wound care and wound vac management
Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required

Requirements

Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiac telemetry specialty required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and peripheral line care
Experience managing cardiac drips, heparin protocols, and PCA; titration of cardiac drips preferred
Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and continuous telemetry monitoring
Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration
Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization, angiogram, MI, and cardiac surgery care
Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care
Experience with wound care, wound vac, and surgical drain management
Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Responsibilities

Work in the Cardiac Telemetry unit of a Short Term Acute Care, Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital with 672 staffed beds
Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on day shift and 1:5-6 on night shift
Day shift (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30) or Night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) available
Required to work every third weekend
No on-call responsibilities
Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
Epic/Excellian charting system experience preferred
Provide comprehensive cardiac telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as a perm staff or per diem employee
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Ideally no more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
Required documentation includes date of birth, SSN, copy of certifications, and Nursys verification
