American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring an active SC or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent cardiac telemetry experience.

The role involves hospital-based care for adults with chest pain, ACS, arrhythmias, and postoperative patients, with EPIC EMR documentation and 3x12 day shifts. Benefits include housing allowance, travel/licensure reimbursements, and non-taxed per diem.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac telemetry experience.
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience.
• Two professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Cardiac Telemetry unit care in a hospital setting.
• Care for adults with chest pain/ACS, arrhythmias, CVA/TIA/stroke, heart failure, COPD, sepsis, GI bleeding, and post-surgical patients.
• Perform cardiac/telemetry monitoring, pulse oximetry, TEE, isolation (AFB), procedures like thoracentesis/paracentesis, and dialysis as needed.
• Administer Level 3 IV infusions and IV push meds per policy.
• Utilize Pyxis and Omnicell medication systems; document in EPIC EMR.
• 3x12 day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM; every other weekend coverage.
• Floating to similar units or facilities as needed based on census.
• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and emergency response.
• Participate in Rapid Response/Code team activities.
• Orientation weekly and annual compliance training required; complete pre-assignment modules within 48 hours.
• Travelers must reside >100 miles from any facility within the health system; specific distance rules apply.
