Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a licensed RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry role in Minnesota. Requires 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience, active MN RN license (compact license not accepted) and BLS. Travel nursing experience 1+ year is required. Proficiency with IVs and Epic EMR is essential.

Jobs include varied shifts and weekends with no on-call duties. Housing allowances and travel reimbursements are offered. Local travelers within 35 miles may receive a reduced rate.

Qualifications

• Active MN RN license required
• BLS certification required
• 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• 1+ years of travel nursing experience required
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations required
• Ability to insert IVs required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to specialty required
• 2 supervisory references with employment dates required

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical Care Center unit responsibilities for adult and geriatric patients
• Care coordination across disciplines and delegation of tasks
• Use of Epic EMR for charting
• Varied shifts including evenings and nights (1500-2330 and 2300-0730)
• Every other weekend schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Provide holistic nursing care across the life span: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation
• Ensure compliance with unit policies and safety standards
• Local travel considerations: candidates within 35 miles may receive reduced rate
