Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Telemetry RN for a Med/Surg unit. The role requires 1+ year of relevant experience and an active SD or Compact RN license, plus BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. EPIC charting experience is preferred for this setting.

The unit features 12 beds with stroke, MI, and trauma patients. Expect 12-hour night shifts (36 hours/week), team nursing with RT and imaging support, and on-site phlebotomy during business hours.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in SD or Compact.
• Board-approved nursing education program completed.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (ED and Med/Surg may be combined).
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.
• CPI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit with 12 beds and intermediate level patients.
• Care for stroke, MI, and trauma patients on a 1:4–6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week; rotate weekends via self-scheduling.
• Team nursing approach with RT and Imaging support.
• Phlebotomy available on campus; EPIC and Space Lab charting systems used.
• Floating within scope of practice; on-call not required.
