Job summary

TotalMed RN in Glen Burnie, MD seeks a travel PCU RN for a 12-week assignment. The role requires 1–2 years acute care experience, and a 12-hour day shift, 36 hours per week with travel benefits. The PCU nurse monitors cardiac patients with equipment, administers meds, and responds to changes in patient status.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH, CPI, 2 Years

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
