Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a PCU/Cardiac Stepdown travel nurse to join our Arlington, VA team. This assignment runs for 13 weeks with a 48-hour work week and a 12-hour night shift, offering travel benefits and immediate start.

The ideal RN has 1–2 years of recent acute care experience, BLS/ACLS certifications, and is prepared to care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments in a non-ICU setting. Apply today to join TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with Cardiovascular/PCU experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• 1-2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
