La Frontera EMPACT - Suicide Prevention Center is seeking a Trauma Healing Therapist to provide direct psychotherapy to individuals and families affected by crimes, including crisis stabilization and on-call crisis response across Maricopa County. The role requires a Systems based approach and will operate at Glendale two days per week and EMPACT Tempe Children’s Center for the rest of the week.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field is required.
• Associate level AZBBHE licensure or higher is required or must be obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct community based psychotherapy for the purpose of assessment, diagnosis and treatment with follow-up contact for victims of crime in both individual and group settings.
• Collaborates with hotline staff, trauma advocates and therapists, plus community agencies to provide crisis intervention and de-escalation/stabilization of high intensity trauma symptoms.
• Maintains client records in accordance with agency policies and procedures, including intake, treatment planning, risk documentation, and data collection.
• Provides and delivers assigned special projects during on-call shifts weekly, including mobile crisis assessment and in-home support across Maricopa and surrounding counties.
• Trains and mentors interns, pool staff and new staff as assigned.
