Job summary

EMPACT-SPC, part of La Frontera Arizona, is seeking a Trauma Healing Crisis Specialist to provide trauma-informed assessments and direct counseling to individuals and families impacted by crime. You will manage referrals, conduct intake and crisis interventions, and collaborate with hotline staff, therapists, and community partners.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, empathy, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a busy setting with weekly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience meeting BHT requirements as per ADHS.
• Ability to understand victims' needs, listen with empathy, and engage diverse individuals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work flexible workloads and maintain professional boundaries.
• Proven crisis intervention and independent judgment in high-stress settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and processes referrals to meet needs promptly.
• Conducts intake assessments and crisis counseling for youth, adults, and families.
• Identifies advocacy and referral needs and makes mandatory reports.
• Coordinates with other departments for continuity of care and provides risk assessment.
• Ensures quality service delivery and proper documentation.
• Maintains client records per agency policies and data collection.
• Provides on-call shift weekly and possible overnight/crisis coverage as needed.
• Trains interns, pool staff, and new employees as assigned.
• Engages in meetings and supervision; supports fundraising as requested.
