Job summary

La Frontera Center Inc. is seeking a Crisis Therapist for EMPACT-Suicide Prevention Center in Mesa, AZ.

You will provide crisis counseling, perform crisis intervention, manage cases, and coordinate care with other departments and first responders. The position requires a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work, and you may be assigned to weekend/evening shifts; a valid AZ driver’s license and fingerprint clearance are required.

Qualifications

• The role requires a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a directly related field.
• Experience in Crisis Services or related settings is preferred.
• Ability to work in high paced crisis environments and coordinate with first responders.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis calls and provide crisis intervention for ongoing clients.
• Perform case management and coordination of care with other departments and external agencies.
• Supervise and train interns, pool staff, and new staff as assigned.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation in accordance with policies.
• Work cooperatively as part of a cohesive team and respond to potentially volatile situations.
