Job summary

EMPACT-SPC, part of the La Frontera Arizona family, seeks a Trauma Healing Therapist to provide direct psychotherapy to individuals and groups, including crisis stabilization, with a systems-based approach. The role includes on-call duties and two on-site locations in Glendale and Tempe.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work, AZBBHE licensure (or in process), strong communication, documentation, and crisis-intervention skills, and a preference for bilingual

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field is required.
• AZBBHE licensure or higher required within six months.
• Clear and effective communication and customer service skills.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Documentation skills.
• Conflict resolution experience.
• Valid AZ Driver's license with no major infractions for the past 39 months.
• Fingerprint clearance card required or must be eligible to obtain one.
• Bilingual - Spanish preferred; language differential offered.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct community based psychotherapy for individuals and groups, including victims of crime.
• Coordinates communication with other departments for continuity of care and crisis intervention.
• Maintains client records in accordance with agency policies.
• Provides and delivers assigned special projects during on-call shifts.
• Trains interns and staff as assigned.
