Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent required, health-related preferred.

• Knowledge of trauma registry systems and EHR platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs concurrent abstraction and data entry for injury-related admissions and outcomes.
• Ensures complete data capture from injury through rehabilitation in the registry.
• Verifies ICD-10, AIS, and ISS coding accuracy for each patient record.
• Identifies new trauma cases meeting registry inclusion criteria.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and trauma team to support quality initiatives.
• Maintains timely communication with the Trauma Program Manager on documentation issues.
• Reports data gaps to support accurate abstraction and QA.
• Manages workload to complete data entry within two months of discharge.
