Advocate Health Navicent Trauma Services is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the trauma process improvement program, ensure ACS standards compliance, and support trauma verification. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with physicians and staff, and a focus on quality and safety in a high-volume center.

The position emphasizes organizational skills, trauma care excellence, and ongoing education to maintain professional competency and improve patient outcomes across the trauma

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree; Trauma registry course and AIS TOPIC course within 18 months of hire.
• 5 years clinical experience required in trauma care or related field.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Leads the trauma performance improvement and patient safety program (PIPS) and coordinates trauma meetings.
• Ensures accreditation standards are met and supports ACS program surveys.
• Oversees development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of clinical protocols.
• Provides staff education and acts as liaison to administration and committees.
• Analyzes Trauma Data Quality Plan and contributes to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
• Promotes evidence-based practice guidelines to reduce variance and costs.
